Sónar is an international music festival that began in Barcelona, Spain in 1994 and now attracts more than 115,000 attendees every year in June for it’s three day festival. This year, Hong Kong will get a taste of what that festival is like for one day and night. This Saturday, April 1 at Hong Kong Science Park in Tai Po from 11am-3am, the festival, which celebrates music, creativity and technology, will feature an impressive line-up of artists including DJ Shadow, Gillies Peterson and Dave Clarke and some emerging talent, like Lady Leshurr, Kingdom and Evian Christ. Not only will the festival include music, it will include workshops, talks, and expo, interactive virtual reality and new media as part of Sónar+D, it’s daytime event.
If you are not up for the music event, dancing all day and night, and just want to attend Sónar+D, you are able to purchase a ticket for that event at a reduced rate. For the talks and workshops, they are all about exploring the relationship with creativity, technology, innovation and business in a relaxed environment where creative communities can exchange ideas while showcasing immersive experiences.
