Hong Kong has so many art events in March every year. One of the greatest art fairs, ART CENTRAL is growing stronger. This is the third edition of the fair featuring over 100 international galleries in the heart of Hong Kong at Central Harbour front. As an Asia based art fair, ART CENTRAL showcases 75% Asia-Pacific galleries including ink, textile arts, photography, new media and street art.
“Art Central has established itself as a catalysing force for bringing together emerging and established talents, through an accessible platform that champions discovery, ideas and experimentation. This year, I am particularly excited to welcome our new gallery partners, presenting art of the highest quality from a spectrum of periods and geographies, and offering our visitors an immersive cultural experience. The quality and ambition of this year’s presentations are testament to our Fair’s strength and identity as a place to meet and exchange ideas.” Charles Ross, Managing Director, Art Central said.
The event tops up with pop up restaurants. The flagship restaurant, Le Marché custom created by Michelin‐starred Chef Philippe Orrico of ON Dining, Restaurant Aloha, Bread and Beast, Brickhouse, Beef & Liberty, Initial, Mrs. Pound, Teakha and Fernet Hunter created STREET FOOD CENTRAL to let art lovers and foodies taste their new experience at the art fair. There will be live performance art, interactive sound-installations in collaboration with Swarovski and a MEDIA X MUMM champagne bar with immersive video-installations.
